Position Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the construction industry, and be capable of handling multiple tasks with precision and efficiency. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently as well as collaboratively with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
* Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
* Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance.
* Process payroll and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
* Assist with the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors as needed.
* Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
* Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate financial tracking of projects.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* CPA certification preferred but not required.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the construction industry.
* Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong understanding of GAAP and construction-specific accounting practices.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
