Position: Creative Interior Designer
Working Hours: ​​​​​​ Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Central Time working hours .
Type of Contract: Independent Contractor

Scope of the Role 
We are seeking a talented and creative Airbnb Designer specializing in bold, colorful, and funky styles. The ideal candidate has a passion for designing unique and eye-catching spaces that stand out in a crowded market. You will be responsible for creating vibrant, stylish, and on-brand interiors that appeal to target audiences based on comparables, data analysis, and market trends.
Please note, our team does not typically do flips or remodels; Our services are typically cosmetic. We are looking for someone who can design revamped spaces with color, light, furniture, and personal touches.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Design Conceptualization: Develop bold, colorful, and funky design concepts that reflect the desired vibe and appeal to the target market. Emphasize playful elements, eclectic decor, and vibrant palettes.
• Market Analysis: Analyze comparable listings, local market data, and target audience preferences to inform design choices. Ensure that each design aligns with both client goals and the expectations of potential guests.
• Space Planning & Layout: Create functional, aesthetically pleasing layouts that maximize space and enhance the guest experience while maintaining the desired funky and colorful aesthetic.
• Material & Decor Selection: Source and select furniture, decor, and finishes that fit within the design concept, emphasizing statement pieces, bold patterns, and eclectic styles.
• Installation Guide Creation: Develop detailed, step-by-step installation guides with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the design can be accurately implemented by the installation team.
• Budget Management: Work within specified budgets while maintaining a high standard of creativity and design quality.
• Client Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the lead designer to understand their vision and objectives.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in interior styling/decorating/design with a strong portfolio showcasing bold, colorful, and funky styles.
• Ability to translate market data and audience preferences into compelling design strategies.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when creating comprehensive installation guides.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and vendors.
• Familiarity with design software (e.g., Spoak, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite) and project management tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with flexibility and creativity.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience specifically in designing short-term rental properties or hospitality spaces.
• Knowledge of market trends and competitive analysis within the Airbnb and short-term rental industry.
• Current knowledge OR interest in designing exterior spaces. A seasoned member of our team is excited about training our designer in landscaping software.
• Strong organizational skills and a knack for problem-solving in a creative context.
