Job Description

Job Title: Facilities Technician

Reports To: Plant Manager & Facilities Supervisor

SUMMARY:

As the Facility Technician, you’ll be responsible for the preventive maintenance and or repair of the facility and designated equipment.

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Minor electrical maintenance including, but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures, wall switches and outlets, bulbs, tubes, ballasts, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords.
  • Perform minor plumbing (replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging or drains, adding lines etc.)
  • Performs janitorial & painting work.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform help where applicable in other areas or departments.
  • Perform floor work as construction, repair, mopping, and waxing etc.
  • Ensure landscaping and perimeter of building is kept up to CGMP standards.
  • Perform forklift visual inspection such as water, brakes, hydraulic lines etc.
  • Perform fire extinguisher inspection.
  • Replace air filters.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position requires no supervisory responsibilities.

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Comfortable working around hazardous materials and products.
  • Ability to work various shifts and weekends, if necessary.
  • Ability to use power equipment (power jack, forklift, pallet jack)
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Related maintenance experience and training preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; basic oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computer programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. is a plus.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence memos and ability to write in the English language.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Electrical Certification preferred; Electrical experience mandatory,

Forklift driving certificate, a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
