Job Description

We are seeking an experienced General Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee multi-family, commercial, and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex construction sites, ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, coordinate, and direct on-site personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and enforce construction standards and compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to create a secure working environment for all site personnel.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team, clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project-related challenges in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and inspection documentation.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project costs to ensure they remain within budget and negotiate contracts as necessary.
  • Scheduling: Develop, update, and adhere to project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are consistently met.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in multi-family, commercial, or industrial construction.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, ground-up, and renovation projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, PlanGrid, Builder Trend).
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe job site.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Work Environment:

  • Primary work location is on-site at various project locations.
  • May require occasional travel depending on project requirements.
