Project Manager – Austin Independent School District

Location: Austin, TX

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000

Chin) is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager (PM) with construction management experience in building construction, including new construction of education (school) facilities. The PM will be responsible for duties during the preconstruction, bidding/procurement, construction and close-out phases on multiple projects. The PM should be able to demonstrate and provide solid construction management services.

• Design and constructability reviews
• Managing conceptual, planning, and design phases
• Coordinate and review design estimates
• Develop and update schedules
• Provide construction management and project reporting

Qualification Requirements:

• Education - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural or highly related field
• Experience - 8+ years of relevant experience. Experience in construction / project management of K-12 Education (School) buildings a plus

Candidate must demonstrate a willingness to acquire new responsibilities and skills, and work in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage project schedules and budgets
• Oversee the construction process, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications
• Manage subcontractors and staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
• Advises contractor of necessary actions to ensure conformance with plans, specs, and contract.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
• Develop and manage project budgets
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, subcontractors, and staff
• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals
• Other duties as assigned

Job Offer:

• $130,000K – 160,000K depending on client, project, location and level of experience / education
