We have a 6+ month contract position for a Quality Engineer/Calibration Specialist. The key for this position is someone who's main responsibility is working on developing and setting up calibration methods. Must have extensive experience in aerospace or aircraft industry. Must have strong background and experience working with ISO 17025. This position is working onsite in St. Peters, MO. Detailed description is as follows:
• Develop and implement calibration processes and procedures and coordinate calibrations needed from third-party service providers.
• Perform precise calibration of measurement instruments including calipers, height gages, pin gages, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of calibration activities, results, and adjustments in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all tools meet required specifications and standards, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or nonconformities.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on calibration equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Stay up-to-date on industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 17025 and implement best practices for calibration processes.
• Work closely with operations and production to support measurement needs and resolve calibration-related issues.
• Assist in training new technicians and provide guidance on proper precision measurement equipment care, techniques, and practices.
• Assist Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, Final Inspection, Production, and other key areas with special projects as assigned.
• Maintain excellent communications and working relationships with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, Final Inspection, and Production.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of Seyer’s Quality Management System in alignment with aerospace industry standards (AS9100).
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and conform to Seyer Industries Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, policies, and procedures
