Job Description

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, ensuring product standards are met, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Quality Procedures: Design, establish, and enforce quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Conduct Regular Quality Audits: Perform periodic audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define quality metrics, set goals, and integrate quality into all stages of production.
  • Monitor Compliance: Oversee production processes and operations to ensure compliance with established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct Quality Inspections: Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Analyze Quality Data: Review and analyze data on quality performance, producing reports that track trends, identify issues, and highlight improvement opportunities.
  • Investigate and Resolve Complaints: Address and resolve customer complaints by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Train and Mentor Staff: Provide guidance and training to quality control staff on best practices, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with advancements in quality control methods, techniques, and industry standards to ensure the use of best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in quality control, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of QA/QC principles, quality systems, and project management.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Compliance Expertise: Familiarity with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and compliance requirements.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Certifications in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or similar).
