Job Description

ColdFusion, a well-established edutainment YouTube channel with around 5 million subscribers, is seeking the right Scriptwriter to join the team. Help create documentary-style videos dedicated to unraveling complex subjects in technology, business, and science, in an engaging and easy-to-understand format. Responsibilities:

• Write scripts for 10-30 minute long documentary-style YouTube videos on a regular basis - around 2 videos per month.
• Must have a high interest and knowledge in at least one vertical: technology, business or science. The more focused, the better.
• Research skills with extreme attention to detail is critical for this role.
• Collaborate with our content development team to ensure video content is in line with our overall storytelling strategy.
• Evaluate and structure scripts for dramatic pacing and storytelling sequencing.
• Present final edits to the key team for approval and make revisions based on the feedback received.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and writing techniques for YouTube videos in similar niche.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in either journalism, research in education or similar roles will be highly valued.
• A portfolio of prior work showcasing your creativity and writing skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to take direction and work collaboratively - particularly in a remote setting.
• Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge and passion for tech, business, and science will be viewed favorably.
