Job Title: Experienced Tax & Accounting Manager (Part-Time, Potential Full-Time)

Location: Hybrid – Atlanta, Georgia Area

Job Type: Part-Time (with potential to transition to Full-Time)

We are a growing accounting firm seeking an experienced and passionate Tax & Accounting Manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate must be located in the Atlanta, GA area, has a love for US tax law, a strong background in public accounting, and a desire to grow within the company. This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing flexibility while contributing to the success of our firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and finalize tax returns for individuals (Form 1040), small businesses (Schedule C), corporations (Form 1120S, 1120), and partnerships (Form 1065).
• Review and analyze financial statements and QuickBooks bookkeeping records to ensure accurate tax filings.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns while adhering to all deadlines.
• Provide tax planning services and offer advice to clients regarding tax-saving strategies and opportunities.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the proper handling of tax matters and contribute to the growth of the firm.
• Assist with managing and training junior staff members and delegating tasks effectively.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest changes in US tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a tax preparer, preferably in a public accounting environment.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with preparing Form 1040, Schedule C, Form 1120S, Form 1120, and Form 1065.
• Strong proficiency in reviewing QuickBooks financial records and bookkeeping.
• Excellent understanding of US tax law and tax planning strategies.
• Registered Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for tax preparation and a desire to grow within the company.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Experience with managing or overseeing junior staff is a plus.
• Interest in company operations and willingness to take on additional responsibilities in managing staff workload.
