About the Role The Practice Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the business operations of the hospital in partnership with the Medical Director. This leadership position allows the medical team to focus on providing high-quality veterinary care while ensuring that the practice operates efficiently and effectively. The Practice Manager is responsible for maintaining a positive team culture, enhancing client and patient experiences, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resource Management

  • Recruit, train, and develop staff.
  • Organize ongoing education and training for team members.
  • Conduct regular team meetings alongside the Medical Director.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture aligned with VetEvolve’s core values.
  • Address employee concerns and implement safety and security procedures.

Business Operations

  • Plan and manage efficient staff and doctor schedules.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payroll, inventory, and revenue.
  • Analyze and enhance the performance of revenue centers.
  • Oversee hospital expenses to align with financial goals.
  • Work with the Regional Manager and Medical Director on business growth strategies.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient use of practice management software.
  • Maintain hospital equipment and inventory control.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary management role such as Practice Manager, Hospital Administrator, or Hospital Director.
  • Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and delegation abilities.
  • Experience managing financial budgets and business performance.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
