Job Description:
Summary:
- Warehouse Technician II will be responsible for supporting the West Point MRL Logistics Warehouse with a focus on Shipping, Transportation Management, Material Receipts and Warehouse Operations.
- Adherence to regulatory, global and site policies and procedures governing operations activities is critical.
Responsibilities:
- Subject Matter Expert in cGMP and GDP
- Understand and apply regulatory/ compliance requirements relative to the role
- Responsible for incoming material receipt, clinical site drug returns, and sample management.
- Receive, inspect, and store all warehouse stock.
- Execute sample collection activities
- Process order management and material staging in support of packaging/labeling work centers
- Coordinate and execute discard process for but not limited to expired and non-available inventory
- Perform regular cycle counts, ensuring physical and system inventory accuracy
- Perform inventory functions such as weekly replenishment, posting of Excess & Obsolete inventory and min/max changes
- Manage or act as backup for controlled substance handling and regulations
- Manages shipping activities, freight, and logistics functions - pick, pack, label, schedule, ship
- Emergency cold vault coverage
- Ensure that all paperwork is properly executed
- Interact with employees within their own department as well as frequent interaction with employees from other groups/departments
- May be assigned to coordinate and/or prioritize warehouse activities
- Special assignments as needed
- Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
Required:
- 4-5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Office experience
- SAP Experience preferred
- cGMP experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience working with NOE's/CAPA's/Change Controls
- Experience working with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Solid ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Knowledge of mathematics and analytics
- Demonstrate competency and in-depth knowledge of all processes, methods and procedures related to GMP environment, warehouse, logistics and supply chain
- General housekeeping
- Physically capable of wearing cleanroom/protective gowning and equipment, including gowning, goggles, face shields, and protective gloves. PPE are essential for the health and safety of employees
- Must be able to squat, bend, kneel, and or reach 40% of a shift
- Must be able to stand, walk, and/or move about for 40% of a shift
- Operating forklifts and/or pallet jacks as needed
Preferred:
- Ability to quickly learn new systems
- Knowledge of CFR regulation
